Holi-Daze Q & A

Q & A with Faydra Koenig, America's Crisis Coach

My youngest (age 23) joined the air force and this is her first Christmas not at home. We are officially empty nesters. I had her late in life so I am 61 and all I have known is being a mom. I have another daughter, age 36. She lives close BUT there is tension with her dad and her husband so we have not gotten together as a full family on holidays for the last two years. I get mad and depressed this time of year. My husband will not let go of his anger and it has affected our entire family. I have not talked to anyone about this because, frankly I am embarrassed about the whole situation. I have been married 43 years and never dreamed it would be like this.
Any advice will be appreciated.
