Slowcooker Barbecue Pork Ribs
My daughter’s favorite meal is ribs. She’d beg us to take her to Chili’s so she could get a rack of baby back ribs and fries. It’s what she asked for on her birthday or at the end of a great school year. Then we moved and sadly there are no Chili’s restaurants within easy driving distance… and I’m sorry, I love her, but I’m not driving 2 hours each way to go to dinner.
We’ve made pork ribs on the grill in the past, and it works out ok, but is only possible when the weather is good enough to grill. This past winter, I started playing around with some slowcooker barbecue pork ribs recipes and after a little trial and error we came up with something amazing. Here’s the recipe I’ve been using ever since.
Although removing the lid of the crock usually means an extended cooking time, this recipe calls for it. Making sure you baste the ribs occasionally will keep them from becoming to dry on the bottom and running your meal. It will not extend the above cooking time.
